Are you concerned that you might have gaps
in your customs compliance systems & processes?
Have you recently discovered that the
decisions & actions in other areas in your company,
have increased your risk of customs non-compliance?
Are you surprised by the results of an internal
or external customs review of your operation,
and concerned if there are any other
potential areas to improve your customs compliance?
If this describes your current situation,
then our Customs Compliance Benchmarking Program
can help you and your team.
The Customs Compliance Benchmarking Program is designed to have a minimal impact on your day-to-day operations.
Depending on your business, we have developed
over thirty different questionnaires related to
importing and exporting that can be easily completed
by the various stakeholders within your company.
Following the questionnaires, our team will conduct stakeholder interviews to capture any additional relevant information. This information is then analyzed to identify gaps & areas of improvement.
A Risk Scoring Matrix is applied to all identified gaps/areas of improvement, and ranked into one of three categories:
A comprehensive final report is produced, documenting all information collected, gaps/areas of improvements identified,
and a strategy to mitigate all High-Risk observations identified.
Our interactive and customizable reporting
provides you with full visibility, and transparency
to monitor our Customs Compliance
Benchmarking Program in real time.
Allowing you with the ability to provide us feedback
or to ask us any questions when it is convenient for you.
You can stay focused on your day-to-day activities,

If your company, regardless the size,
participates in the importing or exporting of goods,
then you are held responsible to comply with
the Trade laws and regulations
enforced by the country's Customs Administration.
In order to minimize your risk of
shipment delays, financial penalties and/or
sanctions for customs non-compliance, the development and annual maintenance of a
Trade & Customs Compliance Manual is paramount.
This manual is key to demonstrating due diligence
in the eyes of your local Customs Administration
and could be the difference between
being found negligent versus willfully non-compliant
in the eyes of the government.
The burden of customs compliance
is placed on the importer, and it is critical
that you document your policies and procedures
in a centralized Trade & Customs Compliance Manual
to ensure trade regulations are adhered to.
The Trade & Customs Compliance Manual Program
is designed to have minimal impact on your day-to-day operations.
Our team will first conduct a Kick-Off Orientation meeting
with all relevant stakeholders explaining the purpose behind this project and provide each stakeholder with
a checklist of the information we require.
Following the collection of data, we will conduct stakeholder interviews to capture any additional relevant information required for your Trade & Customs Compliance Manual.
Your Trade & Customs Compliance Manual will be divided into six sections, each section containing many chapters dedicated to a specific area of customs compliance. These six sections are:
With our Trade & Customs Compliance Manual Program,
we can either review your existing manual for potential gaps & update your manual accordingly, or create for you a completely new Trade & Customs Compliance Manual from the ground up.
Simply decide what makes business sense for you.
As our Compliance Programs Department team members
are collecting, reviewing, and developing your
Trade & Customs Compliance Manual,
our interactive and customizable reporting
will provide you with full visibility, and
transparency to monitor our progress in real time.
Your team and various stakeholders
will be able to review the Trade & Customs Compliance Manual
as drafts of each chapter are completed,
allowing the ability to provide us feedback, or to ask us any questions and make recommendations,
when it is convenient for you.

Trade & Customs Compliance Manual, on your schedule.

with your regulatory and contractual obligations.
As an Importer,

duty-free status to the government.

you are required to request
certifications from producers and

you must solicit back-up certificates of origin
or other written confirmations for all “originating” materials
or components that you sourced, and conduct
origin analysis on your manufactured goods,
to verify that your goods meet the requirements set forth
in a specific Free Trade Agreement
Depending on your business requirements,

manage multiple Free Trade Agreements,
and is scalable to accommodate your future growth.
Country of Origin Analysis
Rules of origin are used to determine if products are eligible for duty-free or reduced duties under a Free Trade Agreement, even though they may contain non-originating components.
For the products/product lines you have identified, our team will analyze and provide a detailed breakdown/recommendations on the eligibility of the product to meet the requirements for one or more Free Trade Agreements.

and/or conducting Country of Origin Analysis on your products, our interactive and customizable reporting will provide you with full visibility, and transparency to monitor our progress in real time.

An anti-dumping duty is assessed
when it is determined that a product
is being imported at prices that are lower than comparable products,
in the country of export.
When this occurs,
the Customs Administration,
based on a number of factors,
will impose additional duties
from 50% to over 300%
in order to protect domestic producers.
These additional duties will significantly impact your landed costs
and could eliminate the majority
of your entire profit margin
on these goods.
As a result, to protect your revenue
and comply with government
anti-dumping decisions,
it is critical to have a program that:
Phase 1:
Review & analyze
your previous Import Declarations
Phase 1 of our Anti-dumping and Countervailing Duties Program focuses on your past importations, while Phase 2 focuses on your current importations.
Review & analyze
your previous Import Declarations
Our team will review your import history
to identify shipments with products that might be subject to an open anti-dumping investigation, or ongoing measures in force.
For those products identified, we will review and determine whether the goods are within the defined scope of the measures in force.
This program will also confirm:
Phase 2:
Quarterly review of
ongoing import declarations
Each quarter, our team will perform a review of your new import records. At the conclusion of the review, you will receive a "Quarterly Anti-dumping Assessment Report".
This report will detail
the following for each quarter:
For new products
For new investigations
initiated by a government
For both phases of this program,
our interactive and
customizable reporting provides you
with full visibility, and transparency
to monitor our progress in real time.
Allowing you the ability to provide us feedback or to ask us any questions,
when it is convenient for you.
You can stay focused on your day-to-day activities, while monitoring the progress of our work, on your schedule.
We will be transparent.
You will be assigned a
dedicated Manager from our
Compliance Programs Department who will be your primary point of contact for your team and manage your Anti-dumping and Countervailing Duties Compliance Program.
Our team will implement both phases at the same time, to ensure that you receive maximum results from this program,
and to minimize any potential risks to your operation.
H.S. Classification, Origin, & Valuation
When a Customs Administration conducts a random or targeted examination of your customs transactions, they are confirming that you are following the regulations that they are responsible to enforce.
Based on their results, you could be subject to a reassessment of duties & taxes, and levied additional financial
non-compliance penalties that could significantly impact your
revenues and brand reputation.
By implementing our Customs Self Verification Program, our team will conduct reviews in the same manner as the Customs authorities, to identify potential errors in your customs transactions before an examination is performed by your local Customs Administration.
As a result, preventing potential penalties and fines for non-compliance imposed by the local Customs Administration.
Under this program,
team members from our
Compliance Programs Department will conduct examinations of your import & export transactions in the same manner as your local Customs Administration.
Whether we are conducting an
H.S. Classification review, Origin Review and/or Valuation review, our program will follow a similar methodology as that employed by Customs.
Once completed
our team will provide you with a
final report of our findings and recommendations.
This program will help you identify
and mitigate potential risks and penalties related to customs non-compliance,
and help you streamline your
customs processes, leading to smoother and more efficient operation.
Our program is scalable to accommodate your specific needs
today and expand as your
needs change in the future.
You might be interested in
performing a single review,
specific to an H.S. Classification,
Origin, or Valuation issue.
Or you might be looking to incorporate
a comprehensive single or
multi-year review program
into your operation.
Regardless
of your requirements,
our team will meet with you
to understand your specifications
and design a program
that best fits your business needs.
Our interactive and customizable reporting provides you with
full visibility, and transparency
to monitor the self verifications
in real time.
Allowing you the ability to
provide us feedback or to ask any questions when it is convenient for you.
You can stay focused on your day-to-day activities, while monitoring the progress of our work, on your schedule.
We will be transparent.
You will be assigned a

Compliance Programs Department
who will be the primary point of contact for your team and manage your
Self Verifications Program.
